January Happenings

January was a very eventful month for us! My mom and my little brother flew in on the 16th. The goal for the next few days was to do everything we could to help my sister's pregnancy speed along! Mitchell wanted so badly to see the baby before he reported to the MTC. So Rachel and I helped my mom and Mitch shop in Salt Lake for his mission clothes and shoes, walking up and down stairs as much as we could! On Monday, the 19th we had a celebration for Mitchell at the Pizza Factory and went bowling too. Rachie bowled twice, mainly for the pictures! It worked! She went into labor the next morning and had her baby, Kaili Michelle Skeen on January 20th, Clayton's 28th Birthday! See her blog for cute pictures and details! I got to be in the delivery room with Andrew and my mom so that was pretty neat. We went to Olive Garden that night with my grandma Smith to celebrate Clayton's birthday, Mitchell's mission, and first a time grandma and aunty, and a 24-time (I think) great-grandma! We saw Mitchell off at the MTC for his mission the very next day! He was so happy that Rachel had the baby before he left! Then, that night we were able to have another birthday celebration just for Clayton with some friends and girls on the girls rugby team he coaches. My mom got to hang around until the 30th, so I was over there with my mom and rachel a lot getting my "baby Kai" time! So fun! Here are some pictures of the various events:
